ABOUT
-Hi! I’m Andy, I’ve been tattooing since 2011 in the greater Philadelphia area. In 2019 I along with my partners opened Crown and Feather Tattoo Company, a private studio in the Fish town/Kensington area of the city.
-I specialize in tattooing Japanese-inspired, Neotraditional and American-Traditional work. I love doing large-scale work inspired by 19th century Japanese woodblock prints, as well as natural themes like animals and flowers. I also enjoy doing classic bold Traditional tattoos, inspired by the Americana/folk designs founded in early tattooing.
-Tattooing for a decade, I’ve fallen more in love with tattooing each passing year. I’ve gotten to travel extensively working internationally in places like Ireland and Tokyo. To say I’m grateful to be able to do what I’m most passionate about is an understatement, and I’m thankful to my often return clientele for their continuing trust.
PROCESS
Tattooing can be an intimidating experience, I strive to create an environment where you can receive professional quality tattooing in a welcoming setting. Each tattoo is important, and I try to honor that by being extensive in my process to give you your best possible tattoo. For me this includes a lot of drawing and preparation and for large scale projects in person consultations.
PERSONAL
In my leisure time I enjoy practicing Jiu Jitsu and Zen Buddhism, both of which influence how I live my life and practice my art. On a day off I like to take my pup Winston on a long walks, go antiquing and practice my banjo.
